We don't sell cookie dough. We work together — and every dollar goes straight back to the students.
How We Raise Money
Community-Powered. Student-Focused.
The Madison Central Band is powered by the dedication of our students and the incredible support of our community. We don't ask students to sell candles, cookie dough, or discount cards — those fundraisers are time-consuming and distract from what matters. Instead we work together on events and programs that build community and make a real impact.
Annual Fundraisers
How We Raise Funds
There's a volunteer opportunity for everyone — no matter your schedule, skills, or experience.
EKU Concessions
Our largest and most consistent fundraiser. We work concessions at Eastern Kentucky University's home football and basketball games all season long.
Kentucky Derby
The first Friday and Saturday in May, we head to Louisville to work the Kentucky Oaks and Derby as food runners. A long, high-energy weekend — and one of Kentucky's biggest traditions.
Dining for Dollars
We partner with local restaurants throughout the year. Dine on a designated night and a portion of the proceeds come back to the band. Easy and delicious.
Pancake Breakfast & Silent Auction
A new tradition kicks off this year — join us for a community breakfast and bid on donated items from local businesses and supporters. A fun morning that doubles as one of our most community-centered fundraisers.
