Three ensembles developing musicianship, artistry, and a lifelong love of music — from freshman year through graduation.
About the Program
Where Musicians Are Made
The Madison Central Concert Band program develops well-rounded musicians from their very first year through graduation. With three distinct ensembles, every student is placed in the right environment to grow — technically, musically, and personally.
Our concert ensembles perform throughout the school year at festivals, adjudicated events, and community concerts — giving students regular opportunities to perform at their best in front of live audiences.
The Ensembles
Find Your Ensemble
Concert Band
The starting point for most MCHS musicians. Concert Band introduces students to foundational technique, musicianship, and ensemble performance — building the skills that carry them through all four years.
Symphonic Band
The core of our concert program. Students develop strong musicianship through a broad range of repertoire and regular performance opportunities throughout the school year.
Wind Ensemble
Our most advanced ensemble, open to students by audition only. Wind Ensemble performs challenging repertoire and represents the program at the highest level of concert competition.
Find Your Place in the Band
