The Marching Band experience is so much more than music—it’s meals, travel, uniforms, props, fundraising, hydration, and heartfelt encouragement. It truly takes a village to support our nearly 200-member band, and we can’t do it without YOU.
Whether you can give one hour or one season, your time makes a difference.
Where Can You Help?
There’s a volunteer role for everyone—no matter your schedule, skills, or experience. Check out our committees below to find the right fit for you. Whether you’re organizing meals, sewing uniforms, lifting props, or capturing memories, you’re helping create something unforgettable for our students.
- Food & Hospitality – Feed the band, donate items, or help plan meals
- Chaperones – Ride buses and supervise students at events
- Props & Pit Crew – Build, move, and set props and pit equipment for performances
- Uniforms – Help with fittings, repairs, and keeping uniforms performance-ready
- Fundraising – Plan or support events that help fund our program
- Technology & Media – Help with photos, social media, or website updates

Fundraising Chair

Band on the Run 5K Asst. Coordinator (Shadow)
Do you enjoy event planning, organizing, or just want to support the band in a big way? We’re looking for someone to shadow our current Band on the Run 5K Coordinator this year and prepare to take the lead next season.
The 5K is one of our key fundraisers—and it’s a fun, community-centered event that brings runners, families, and band supporters together. Our current coordinator will be graduating out after this year, and we want to ensure a smooth handoff.
This is a great opportunity to make a big impact and carry on a successful tradition—while working alongside great people!

EKU Concession Leads
We’re looking for 1–2 EKU Concessions Leads to support our band’s largest ongoing fundraiser. In this role, you’ll assist the Concessions Coordinator in managing volunteers during EKU home games and step up as the lead when the coordinator is unavailable.
It’s a hands-on, rewarding experience where you’ll help things run smoothly behind the scenes—and get to know fellow parents and students in a fun, high-energy environment.
Photo Corps
Love taking photos? Have a good eye (or just a smartphone)? Help us capture the spirit, sweat, and smiles of the Madison Central Band all season long!
The Photo Corps documents every unforgettable moment—from the first day of band camp to the final competition, and everything in between. Rehearsals, fundraisers, football games, travel days, award-winning performances—you’ll help tell our story through images that last a lifetime.
