Mr. Gary Lee Duvall Jr. is a dedicated Guard Director and a passionate healthcare professional. With over two decades of experience in the marching arts, he is currently in his ninth year at Madison Central High School in Richmond, Kentucky. Under his leadership, the Madison Central Guard has flourished, becoming one of the largest programs in the state.

Duvall’s commitment to excellence is reflected in the numerous achievements of his ensembles, including a performance at the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in 2019 and multiple medal-winning seasons in the Tristate Marching Arts Circuit. The guard has also been a WGI Knoxville Regional Finalist in both 2024 and 2025.

In addition to his work in the arts, Duvall holds an Associate Degree in the Science of Nursing from Eastern Kentucky University. He applies his compassionate and disciplined approach to his role as a Registered Nurse at the University of Kentucky Markey Cancer Center, where he works in the Clinical Research Office. His dual career paths highlight a unique blend of creativity, leadership, and a deep-seated commitment to helping others. and leadership, Madison Central ensures every student has the opportunity to excel in their musical pursuits.
