Color Guard Information

The Madison Central Color Guard is one of the many sections within The Madison Central Marching Band Program.

The Madison Central Marching Band is a competitive program, marching approximately 250-280 students each year. The Madison Central Marching Band competes on both a state and national level and has won 5 KMEA State Marching Band Championships. In addition to competing, the marching band also performs at home football games, local parades, and community events throughout the year. The Madison Central Marching Band recently had the privilege of participating in the 2019 Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.

The Madison Central Color Guard is an important visual component to the marching band production. The color guard blends dance and equipment (flag, rifle, and sabre) to bring the
musical production to life. The Madison Central Color Guard has grown to be the largest color guard program in Kentucky. Our organization offers performance opportunities for students of all backgrounds, creating a space where students can express themselves. Our program focuses on teamwork, self-discipline, leadership, and confidence. Students who participate in this activity often develop friendships and memories that last a lifetime.

Throughout the clinic and audition process students will learn and develop basic dance and flag technique. No prior experience is necessary. Our team of trained instructors will prepare students with any skills needed to complete a successful audition. We welcome ladies and gentlemen 7th grade and above to join.
